Last time I made this run it took me a week to get the sand out from between my teeth. You can't help but respect summer guides that get off the river, take a day to wash their shorts are rigging for the next trip the day after. I like the winter trip. Have you looked at the forecast? Almost freezing lows and highs in the fifties and sixties! I may have to buy ice! You may have to buy ice! Am very open to discussing adventure, I have a daughter that is a little peevish with me right now as I have not got her feet properly wet. Her schedule at present will not allow over two weeks off around Christmas. So I am angling toward a warmer time of year for next GC ride. Who knows though, a mellow few days on a lesser stream may be all she is up for. If you overtake another group, look for a guy with a long white beard driving a big blue cat and a slug if yakers circling about like elves. That'd be me.
