Labor day?

Ok, whos doing what for Labor day? Any plans? Any ideas?

Some ideas:

Bailey (hope for a release)
Gore (need a guide).
Wy. Shoshone. (would have to go up)
Ark granite (heard a rumor that there would be a release for labor day...)
Gunny Gorge
Ruby/horsethief.

It's not my permit or I'd invite you. But... It's my last 3 day weekend until November and I'm thinking I should go to Flaming Gorge while I can- I haven't done that section yet. Westy is the go-to and I already have 2 other trips planned up there in the next couple months. Still- labor day will be a kick in the ass on Westwater.

I'm waffling, with 4 days to go...

Left the raft packed from Lodore, so goin' to float something. Really want to hang out somewhere and drink margs without the need to pack up again until Monday. I'm seeking that mythical layover day. I'm not sure it really exists! :}

I thought we discussed the 13/14th. Michelle can't go this weekend, and I'm not up for ruby two weeks in a row.

Ok, I'm going to try to hit Gore Sunday and maybe Sat. if I can find someone to mooche off of. Michelle is of Monday so I'm thinking something more mellow with her like the lower blue would be good. I looked at 11-mile at about the same level earlier this year and did NOT look like it was worth it.

Can't go next weekend because of a party. Most of September is pretty booked with bike stuff. I'm also game for the Upper C. I've never rafted it and have no idea where to camp, but I'm willing to haul some gear so we can camp on the run somewhere. Any ideas where to camp? I'd like to avoid the Pumphouse/Radium/State Bridge sites. Is there anything cool on the river where we can set up camp and hang out for a few days?
