Kayaking the Zion Narrows

Anyone have any information on when this runs, when to do it, and if it is worth it?

Be wary of anything you read about the Zion Narrows. Most of the information out there is the work of arrogant sandbaggers.

Try the Greer brothers. Brodie and Jared. They both work for the Park(but are super chill) and both kill it kayaking and climbing. They live in Springdale (Zion Canyon.) Look em up.

You may need to expand on your definition of "worth it." If you are looking for an amazing, gorged in, class V adventure, then this run is not worth it. The rocks are plentiful and the whitewater nearly non-existent, so if you want to huck, then this run sucks and you should head to Wyoming.

If you are looking for an amazing, gorged in, scenic kayak tour with views that rival that of any gorged-in run in the country, and enjoy exploring slot canyons and don't mind running unscoutable, unportageable class III+ to see it, then it's totally worth it. If you never paddled through a slot canyon, and have wanted to, this is one of the best.

Worth it for the scenery and place? Hell yeah. World class. Worth it for the whitewater? Don't go there for that.
