Gunny Gorge 4th or 5th & hows the road?

Have a party of two or three hard boats considering a trip this weekend. PM if interested in tagging along.

Any report on Chukar road conditions with the monsoon as of late would be appreciated.

Flows are just above 600 cfs which are pretty low. Rafting is good but requires carrying your boat and gear in on a 1.4 mile trail and a long shuttle. Something you definately want to make an overnight. There are a couple posts up that can give you more detail. If you are looking for a simplif day trip you can put on at pleasure park and run downstream (not sure on distance or takeout, but a little research should turn that up fairly easily). Fishing is still good and scenery is not bad, likely only take a few hours.

Chucker trail road is rough with all this rain the past few weeks youll need some ground clearenss. Trail head is 10min from my house. I would love to go on this with you all but have no time right now. The hike is a mofo down for sure, take out in Austin rather than pleasure park for some extra fishing. I am thinking of a trip Exalantie to Domingas on labor day maybe if it might work..... Good luck and watch for flashes right now.

Been down the GG twice in the last two weeks. Road seemed fine to me--if you have the clearance in your car.

Wish I had seen this sooner--would have loved to have gone again.

It was a great day on the water, and a tailwind through the flatwater to top it off
