Group Camping in Steamboat

Hello Fellow Boaters
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of group campgrounds in SB Springs? Even campgrounds with individual sites would be ok as long as 10 or more of the sites are situated right next to one another. I plan a large outing for 50 people every year, most being couples, so a large area that could accomodate about 20 tents within close proximity would be great. We all plan to gather around a central fire with a muscian friend. Any reccomendations are welcome. Thanks, Melissa

What's the focus?

Boating, camping, local event? Strawberry Park would work great if you're willing to pay to have access to the hot pools.

depending on time, there is plenty of free camping up buff pass or rabbit ears if you have 4 wheel drive or higher clearance vehicles. Dry lake on buff can accomodate that, or steamboat lake/hahns peak lake, or you could drive out to whiskey park/big red park for more free camping. It all depends on when, what you want to be able to do and how close to town you want to be. There is always Koa there real close. If you go for one of the real campgrounds get reservations early - they fill up fast with idiot baseball players.

Zach.
