As we get close to our travel date I was looking for beta on the Grande Ronde when it is running 12k - 14k cfs. Has anyone run it at this level than can provide some info? Thanks

Grande Ronde

Snakes, used condoms, crap in the campsites. Terrible, terrible place. If you decide to go at high water, it just goes fast.

Above Troy is a fun float. Marrows down is ok too.

Although the USGS flow for the Grande Ronde has been somewhat flat, the dynamics have changed quite a bit. The flow from the Grande Ronde above Rondowa is beginning to drop and clear while the Wallowa and Minam have become high and dirty from the warm weather earlier this week. We are finally getting some of that higher snow melting. The Minam Roller is finally developing into something and the Wallowa section is pretty fun right now.

Dido on fast. I did it a few weeks ago at 10,000 in IK's. Minam to Heller bar in 2 days. Didn't stop for lunch but really was not that long of days. The Narrows had nice big waves. As for snakes if you go all the way to the narrows, look out, they are everywhere. We found three while scouting.

If you're going all the way to Heller Bar, the scat machine is at Chief Looking Glass Park in Asotin, WA.
