You should know that if you don't want a motor option, you may be able to float naturally and hike out at Phantom or donkey ride or something. The donkey takes your pack or some combo thereof. It is a grueling hike but I would also prefer the brutality of that to the idea of riding. Maybe just make a tow strap and let him pull you up?
Lots of different ways to do it. Hells Canyon in Idaho would be hot with a few big rapids. 3-4 day trip. The Main Salmon in Idaho would be 5 to 6 days as well as several other stretches.
