Good Year for Dolores??

Hello Alll

I realize this may be a silly question (because no one knows for sure) but when do you all think the season window will be on the Dolores this year. I did that trip a couple of years ago and it was one of my favorite rivers. I was just getting exicted reading threads that maybe it was going to run this year and am wondering if it is going to be worth a trip down from ID. Thanks

There is always a reason not to...

First dust storm just hit the region. Think happy thoughts and don't breath deep.

I believe snow pack is average or below average for the San Juans (which does not bode well for a release this year).

Last years release was from 5/25 - 6/10.

The snowpack has started to fall behind last years, see:
Colorado River Basin SNOTEL Snowpack Comparison Update Report

And the outlook makes it look like it'll get worse:
Climate Prediction Center - monthly Outlook

There was a mention that McPhee is fuller than last year.

The DWCD updated their release page:

I attached the reservoir elevation over the last year. There's ten more feet than last year, but another 25' before there'll be a release.

You can get the current elevation here:
