Going to Steamboat Springs

Im from wisconsin and am going on a week long trip to steamboat springs. I am bringing a friend who has not kayaked before and am looking for a easy/mild river to run. Better yet would be a place within 50 miles of steamboat springs that does a beginner class/run with an instructor. If you guys know of anyplace it would be greatly appreciated if you would let me know the name and number. Thanks

You're heading to one a place with one of the best town runs in the state. Put in at fetcher ponds and float right through town. There are only a couple places in town that offer lessons. Contact Mountain Sports Kayak School. Berry Smith is the owner.

Hey!

I will be in Steamboat starting this weekend through the following friday. I was there last weekend and the town run looks very mellow. Lot's of tubers to watch out for.... I didn't get a chance to run it, but I am bringing gear this weekend.
