I am holding joe hostage

joe is not in on wednesday. High water in the southwest...although 550 double hairy at tunnel was fun to watch, the playboating in tunnel was more fun

Aaawww yeah! Tick Toc and the Mank crew just won't stop. Crazy as it sounds, we ran more flood stage water than mank this trip.

Durango Update: Record setting rain.

High water Piedra because everything in D-Go was BLOWN out - check
Flood stage Third gorge lime into Rockwood - check
West Fork San Juan - check
1st gorge lime x2 - check

Fantastic weather, scenery, high water and boaters all around this week. What an amazing bit of icing to the sweet rasberry cake of a season this was. Getting a grip on in mid October in durango is priceless. Hope you all got out and did something this week!

I want to thank cutch for the motivation, joel for the necessary supplies, gina for the pimp crib, todd for the company/ride, and all the awesome boaters/guides this week. Epic.

P.S. bummer about vallecito - hope she cleans out for next season.

October Boating

Thank you lord for the little things, like greedy Front Rangers who like to water their lawns in late October with an approaching snow storm.

Joe - when you're done wth Bailey, head south. Rio Grande has about 900-1000 CFS at Pilar. Upper & Lower Box are great. Embudo got to bare minimum for the afternoon last week. Don't let the epicness die....

Even less far south than that. I have been creeking in Durango everyday since we hit lime creek, and it's supposed to rain even more tomorrow!

Lucky nate. What have you been running? Get west fork san juan? Is vallecito truly f-ed? I assume you've been smarter than to leave your creeking booties in you locker this week! I may try to rally again the weekend after this if she's still going.

twitch - what's the bare for the embudo? I love that run and am willing to get down with some mank. Have to admit that i'd rather run bailey than the boxes though.

Good to see there's still troopers out there getting the goods. Rage on.

Joe! What the hell is wrong with you? UPPER T-BOX is the much better run in October, given the current levels. Warmer, more big boofs, more adrenaline, and more exercise hiking (don't let the winter catch up to your waist line).

Twitch, show Joe the lines.
