As you can see, I'm not a V+ snob - I give equal opportunities to all floats. 14 days to go.
Future plans:
Tomorrow: Ten mile/dowd/gilman tripple crown
Fish/SSV/West Fork this week?
Leaving for D-Go on friday night. Anyone interested Fri-wednesday?
I'd like to get on the upper A on saturday - anyone going?
CB later and encampment on the weekend of the 10th.
I obviously don't check the net much anymore, so call if you want in.
Two days in a row on the internet. Bad sign, but still prevailing.
Today the Mank Crew again showed all the pros the lines through upper and lower fish creek. Too bad we were late for the show or I dare say there might have been a new record time! (sarcasm for all you pros taking this personally)
Upper and Lower Fish Creek -check
NOTICE - leaving for durango on friday. Anyone want to go? Anyone for the Upper A on saturday?
Not sure for the next few days. Maybe CB, maybe frontrange.
Drop me a line, tell me your plans. Let's git er
Joe
P.S. I might also add that we're at 18 runs in the last 10 days. Yeah comon!
I am leaving Dgo Friday or early sat so I'll be missing the crew rock Durango, but this looks like a good line for finding partners to paddle the goods.
I am hoping for something in the Salida area Fri and Denver Sat/Sun.
Joe- I am open thur/ fri if you are going to be here that soon.
Joe, how is Gilman, I was thinking of running it on Saturday? I would be with a group of friends (IV mainly), but none of us have run it. Is is possible to scout everything, or should we try to find a guide?
Next weekend, if your around, Possible backpacking with 1st D option near Grand Lake. I've got to talk to a few others that were interested first though.
Joe,
CB sounds good. I could be there in the morning after I shake the hangover I bet I'll have from the start of a long w/e. Could be there 11-12ish. What time do you start running stuff up there? I could be there earlier if need be. Whats your plan for fri. I'd like to hit the ground- water running and pack it all in if thats possible. Call me for plans and meeting places.
I don't know the boating in CB well, but it seems the flows are low. You say go and I will, but it make me think ark might be better Friday. and it is more on the way to my Denver arrangments.
Gilman ---check
Tenmile ----check
Both were at the lowest levels that I would want to run them at. Although I could be persuaded against my will by someone very persuasive.
Josh - I probably wouldn't take class IV boaters in there. The first section is 3/4 mile read and run class IV. You could scout it, but plan on an entire day for what would otherwise be an hour or so. Everything is scoutable, but there's not much for a class IV boater. Definitely a creek boat run IMO.
E- Yea, CB is too low right now....I'm really hoping for some hot weather to give her the bump we need. Gonna have to play it day by day, but it's a high priority.
Anyone want to do something short and front range tomorrow?
Joe
