Not better than UCC, but I do want to hear some stories - got photos?
The Mank Crew has rocked back from NF Payette safely. CO representin' well. I'll throw an updater on the duckie site tomorrow. Good to see that everyone's out there getting after it!
Nice meeting you guys. Luckily you had some locals to show you all the sweet swim lines. Way to fire up the goods, line of ducklings style (really the only way). But, now that you've experienced entry level flows it is time to come back for the main event next spring when its less mank and more spank.
Simo, Mark, Shaner, Corey, Ryan, thanks for showing us the lines. We'll be back for some high water action next year. Let us know next time your down here for some mank boating.
Gary E, sorry too hear your woman isn't letting you boat anymore this year, would have been cool to boat with you this weekend.

Hey Joe, remember when we were on the Watauga and your boat went through a seive? That wasn't cool. But it was lucky that it came out the other side and you didn't go through too.
Haha, great Jack Handy story. I had convenietly forgot that incident. I've since seen sketchier situations on the river, but that was probably my closest call, personally. I still think we may have saved someone's life that day. After my boat disappeared under the sieve, I helped you out and then the lemming fest was on. We pulled at least 5-6 boaters out of that sieve. My boat was completely under water and gone from sight for at least 5-10 minutes and then it just blew-up out the backside. It definitely wouldn't have gone through with me in it. I've since researched the name of that rapid - I think it's Asskicker. I wish I had something to funnier to say to complement your story, but I guess I don't.
It's been a while - time for a happy hour beer. Maybe sunday afternoon?

Just wanted to say that it's been a great season! I've realized that I somehow manage to keep it rolling through the winter barely. Hence, it's become year-round, kinda. How about that Gore? It's not as good as the Green, but it's now more reliable. Goddam, what a season. It's still in the neighborhood of 1200. I think today was my 56th run though...
Anyway, I wanted to end this season with a couple posts about stories from members of the mank crew this season. Mostly, it'll be a thanks of sorts. I suppose, I'll start with a couple bitches I went to high school with. This season started out with some fantastic trips to high water Escalante. That place went off this season. One of my first trips was with Ben W. I'll never forget blue angeling the thing with 15 boaters, top to bottom, no eddies. I don't even know who half of them were! Later he shared and epic with me on the Source. It was one of those 6 swims in a mile afternoons. Love that place. We also rocked NSV with another high school friend, Paulie. I was the junk show that day as I rocked a hand roll above the sieve in eye of the needle. Paulie and I also rocked an amazing road trip. He got his first vallecito run and I rolled my first Homestake. Good lines were had by all...and bad ones too. We even hit gilman and OBJ on that same three day trip. It was a great season with the boys from Mullen!
