Plans for the weekend Joe? I'm looking for ppl to run Source of Eagle on Saturday. The rest of the weekend I'll be lapping CC ark, fri, sat afternoon, Sunday.
So the crew finished several runs on CC ark and we were looking for something new. We decided to go to the takeout of the Eagle Source without a shuttle and see if we could wrangle something up. Sure enough there was a creek boat parked in a drive-way right at the takeout. I told the boys that I'd go in and convince who ever owned the boat to get it with us. After knocking on the door a fella answers. He was in the middle of a business conversation with his partner, but cut it off abruptly to get the goods. Charlie Ebel is one of those Vail legends I had the pleasure of meeting this weekend. That run is great shit at bank full+ flows. Watch for wood - we had one portage at the end and one very tight spot below the two fat chicks. Did I mention that I'm down with those two fat chicks?
Anyway, it's great hearing about all the swims and beatings. I've definitely taken my licks this year, but considering the shit we've been venturing into - not too bad.
Also, I gotta throw out a shout to my homies in the Mank Crew for taking down the TVF this season! And a shout to Confluence Kayaks for supporting the effort!
I'm at work for the next few days - evening runs only. Anyone have a late june mission?
