Yo, I'll be there if I don't go to ID, but I'm thinking now is not the best time to go to the NF trying to find a guide...so I'll most likely see you at Gore.
RIP Conrad.

Well, it's been a little while since I last holla' at y'all from the post, but it's about time.
I hope you're all getting psyched for Gauley season! I know - it's a playboating thing and I don't understand either. Hopefully, it'll make more sense after an extended weekend gettin down. If you don't have plans yet, we're hittin the Yough on the 21st, followed by Gauley Fest weekend and into the Great Falls monday. Colorado contingent representin.
Anyone interested in making the Green race? Which weekend is it in November? As the boys say, it's well worth the drive (flight).
Also thinking a late fall Black excursion - anyone for the 30-1st (sunday & monday).
Have Oct 5-9 off, maybe Little White as long as it's not anywhere near 4'.

Well, I must say I'm starting to understand this playboating thing. Warm deep water, great class IV drops, play waves everywhere - yes indeed the east coast is a great place to kick back and relax after the Colorado season. Damn fine partying and we had a very strong Frontrange crew to represent. The Great Falls is the Confluence of DC and is far classier.
Anyway, I had a great vacation and it's time to get back at it. Pauley and Ben expressed interest in the upcoming Sunday/Monday Black adventure. Anyone else?
Also, apparently there is a Federal holiday on the 8th of October. This gives me 4 straight off to go at the Payette. Gary said he'd lead so who wants to share a ride? Leave early on friday, Oct 5 and return late on monday the 8th.
FrF and I were just at the NF. Things have dropped to 700cfs. Our second time through it was at 850cfs and felt low. Locals will run it down to 500cfs but I wouldn't recomend the 12hr drive unless its above 1000cfs and 1400-1800cfs is ideal.

Whew....after a very close connection flight that had me sprinting through the Atlanta airport and $250 for the boat, part of the Mank Crew finds itself with a minute to spare in Quito, Ecuador. Time to get it on.
It´s been sweet hearing about everyone´s stories this fall. The Colorado Contingent has gotten after it - Gauley, Yough, Costa Rica, Ecuador, New Zealand, Mexico, BC - strong work people.
