Heading home thurs afternoon. Gonna try to run the blue. It was up over 1000 yesterday and sunday (Jackie had a nice swim). Interested in a low class run with your rubber bound friends?

Aiiight party people. I know you've all been dying to know where we've been at, but without a computer it was a struggle to just update the TVF site with our happenings. Congrads to the winners - maybe next year we can have a class V division only? The time has come for the Mank Crew to finally knock off one of the true classics. Valle has dropped and we're headed to D-go this weekend. Who's in? Justin, C-Mo, Cutch, Ben, Bueller?
Stay wet and scared,
Joe

Yes, the Mank Crew rocked on down to d-go and stomped down Vallecito. She did hand out some ice cream fines to keep us humble though... People talk a lot about vallecito and I had to know about the hype. The first thing I will say is that it's all true. I would have to name it my favorite run. Think of all of your favorite boofs on the front range. Now put them into one run. Add crystal clear greenish water and 100 foot cliffs dropping straight into the water on both sides of the river. The camping is better than OBJ and the run makes you hike for it - good for the soul. The tourist quotes on the way up were hilarious and they had no idea what was going on in there because it's really difficult to see any of it without a boat. Undoubtedly magical and spiritual in the same awe inspired breath. The rapids are tough, but have honest lines. Our runs were between 290 and 340 cfs. These levels were perfect for the first timer and I didn't need any more water - all of the boofs were clean. Definitely get a guide. A million thanks to Brad for showing us his place and to dan, harlan and ryan for experiencing it with us.

Yo Josh, we'll see you up there on Wed. I'll probably camp out in the Fort tomorrow. I imagine takeout at 10am.

Yo boyz. Lake Creek and Bailey this weekend. Who's going? Bailey on Sat and then cruize to the Ark valley with steaks and whiskey to hit lake on sunday.

The Inner Crystal was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was also probably the most difficult stretch I've run.

Call me

Word to my inwards. Now comes the most excellent time of the season where we seek out to find anything besides gore/bailey to run. On the plus side, I see Cheeseman is up and I've been dying to get in there and decide if it sucks for myself. Anyone able to hit it on tuesday? Also, the Big T is up - monday if she holds? Also, possibly vallecito if she holds for monday/tuesday. Anyone want in on the mission?
