Some Lodore rangers can be difficult at times. Other times, very easy and fun to deal with.
Best to read up on the rules and be sure you have all the required gear. And, do your best to follow the rules at the put in which sometimes change depending on the ranger there on duty.
I have kind of shook my head on some of the directions at the put in, once on the river zero problems. One time got a warning from what looked like a new ranger (brand new hat and uniform) because he saw a dust cloud on the road we came in on which indicated to him we were driving too fast. Late season run and dry to beat so dust clouds were all over the place. Doug is good about hanging out at several of the rapids just in case help is needed.
Lodore is worth what ever it takes to make the run.
