I have to second, or third, the drytop. It's rather mandatory in Colorado. Even when the rivers rise and the air is warmer, the water is still fresh snow melt and stays very cold until later in the summer.

Please take a look at my Photo Web Gallery.
I also have here some gear reviews (that I might update soon).

I've been whitewater paddling for just over a year. Comfortable on most IIIs. Willing to try out some mild IVs.

Also, would a wetsuit be suitable for this time of year?

Let me know if you're willing to meet up!

Bad idea I've fished too many let's try class IV out kids of there, go back at 1,500 cfs.

Go to BV and drop in to CKS. Buy a dry top. Go to BV's and Salidas play parks and hone your skills and meet new paddlers! The rest is history.......
