fly fishing anyone?

Hello all;
I am always looking for fellow rowers / fly fisherpeople to share oar time while fishing. I am planning a July Gunnison Gorge trip as well as a trip to Grey Reef this weekend. As a teacher, I have summers off but often spend my time guiding in southwestern colorado. However, I have purposly back off on the days that I am guiding this summer in order to insure that my personal trout fix is sated by the time school starts in September. I have a 14 1/2 foot cataraft set up to fish 2, while another rows. I will travel anywhere to fish, I only ask that anyone responding can take their turn competently in the drivers seat.

Tight lines

P.S. I know that the Blue below Green Mountain Res is way to low to float, but is the crappy Take out below Elkhorn ranch still available? I haven't been down that streach of river in 6 years and heared that some rich asshole bought up/ traded for all the blues access down that a-way

When for the Gunnison Gorge in July?? I love that stretch and know it pretty well. I am very competant on the oars. My usual rule is catch a fish and switch. can be modified if many fish are being caught. My preference is 3 days on the river, taking it very slowly. I fly and spin depending on the section or other factors.

Still need a partner?

Sorry, for bringing back a really old post, but I would be into sharing oar time with anyone. I am a 13-year raft guide with some experience rowing a fishing boat that would like to join anyone that has a boat and needs someone to go with him or her. I will bring beerů

I am a recently retired teacher with decades of whitewater experience but only recently took up fly fishing. I could kick myself for not taking that up long ago. I now realize that floating rivers and fly fishing go hand in hand in many cases. I now live in the Virginia mountains and regularly fly and spin fish for smallmouth in the New river and trout fish in the streams.
during my years teaching I made 23 trips out West in the summer to kayak and do the multiday trips and never once put a fly in the water. I just got off my 7th Grand canyon trip a few weeks ago and this was the first western trip I fished on. Caught some good size rainbows in the Colorado the first 108 miles then had a good day at Tapeats creek mile 132.
I would be interested in sharing the oars next summer sometime. Please keep me in mind.
