Fishers Towers Moab?

Hi All,

Looking for beta on Fisher Towers section near Moab. Everything I've read says it's a mellow class II section but very scenic. I'll be traveling through and wouldn't mind a relaxing scenic paddle up there. Any opinions on floating a half day solo? Or is anyone interested in a chill float later this week?

The daily is a great stretch and easy to do solo, there is a lot of traffic on the road to make hitching easier. Put in at Hittle bottom and takeout options are plenty. Super mellow rapids.

I did a solo overnighter last October from Dewey to Moab bridge and I didn't see another boat the entire weekend. Plenty of traffic on the road though for hitching. Beautiful scenery, II+ rapids, and a few cool side hikes along the way.

go for it!

If you have the time and want to extend you trip/ views put in at dewey bridge. On this trip the towers will pop into view after a short time, but no whitewater is added

If you want a quicker, 14mile 1/2-3/4 day trip put in at hittle bottom in sight of the towers.

You can take out several places, as any river map will show. However I'd say float on as long as your time permits. really even though there is a road near by, and the rapids are few and far between, it's one of the most scenic and accessible stretches I've even done.

Well worth it, enjoy the float

Onion Beach

Don't forget to stay a night on Onion Beach. Not sure, but it's only a few miles from Hittle. enjoy!
