I took out at Fish Ford a few weeks back, after the water dropped - so maybe in the 3k range. I've taken out there at higher levels also. The landing is a gravel bar, kind of small. The road to the gravel bar is single lane over packed sand. The road is not overly steep. We have 4 wheel drive and trailer with tires that need replaced, and did use the 4 wheel drive. I don't know if you might have trouble on that road if you have 2 wheel drive. I THINK you could make it, but not really sure. Well up from the river at Fish Ford is some BLM camp sites under large cotton woods with a picnic table and a fire ring and a toilet. It's very infrequently used, so not as buggy as you might expect in a BLM campground. Other than not being able to see the river from the camp, it isn't bad. So far as camping above Fish Ford...I think the best place is a little before the WW take-out - below Big Horn - - after you come out of the canyon. I think its a designated WW site and you may need to get it as a second night on WW, and I don't know if they would give you a second night. I don't remember any good looking camping on river left across from Fish Ford, but then again, I wasn't looking for camping - I was looking for the ramp on river right. If you are paying attention its not hard to spot. Gravel bar with a narrow gap in the willows/tammies. I enjoy extending the WW trip and not driving after partying after the rapids, and camping at Fish Ford and driving home the next morning is a good way to go. It's a pretty float too - didn't do it once due to winds...but you get the idea. Are you floating on to Dewey?
