Family types for a Memorial weekend upper C trip?

I am going to be taking my 6 year old on a two night, three day upper C trip from Pumphouse to below State Bridge. I will be in my Hyside raft with my son, and have two friends in duckies coming. I would not mind teaming up with some more family units to make our group larger. I just do not want to be overrun at a campsite by a party hardy crowd. We will be enjoying ourselves too, just not over the top with my son with us. So a larger group would insulate us and give us some clout at not allowing another group to share our campsite too closely.

If you can't find more people, I have a vicious dog you can borrow. Or better yet, take Charlie he barks nonstop.

Nay, I would take our Australian Shepard if I was going to take a dog, but I was planning on being courteous and leaving him home.

Opps, I guess I should of posted this in the trip planner section. I had not even noticed there was a trip planner section. I am sure the mods will move it since they usually move stuff quick.

I won't be up there, but here's my advice: Launch early and snag the first site on the left immediately after the hot spring. It's small enough that no one can crowd in on you. You have to deal with people at the hot springs (200ft. up stream) but it quiets down at night and is great for an early morning soak.
