This should be no problem at higher water for an intermediate, or higher level, oarsman; and I would only suggest having good support people with you for the kids in case of some odd event of a mishap. The campsite(s) at Dominquez Canyon should still be very exposed, although the docking area might be a little tricky since I believe it is on a strong side bend of the river.
