I think she's coming in. Columbine snotel is on the way down, so she's melting up top.

I like to look at a cool map on that shows freezing countour intervals over the state... you can see that its not freezing on top of the uncompaghre plateau for the next several nights. Combine that with warm weather, and I think the creek will be in.

Its an odd forecast though... plateau is supposed to get snow this weekend which could shut it down.

I hope this start / stop melt doesn't bleed of the pack and leave meager flows when she really gets going.

Give a report if you get out there.

Im gonna be in GJ thursday-friday anyway so I'd be willing to meet you out there thursday some time to check it out. According to the equation given at the begining of this post it should be running. It's either low water escalante or hanging with the inlaws. Escalante! Let me know.

Crazy nate / steven (I'll PM)...give me a ring, I'm not going to be able to get online much rest of the day. I'm waiting to hear from a friend in Glenwood, if he can make it down in the morning. I may have a shuttle driver too if its too big for his 1st time, plus a photographer, so another driver.

It's supposed to be a hard freeze tonight (26 in Montrose) I imagine that will shut down Escalante for a few days. But then again maybe all the rain and low-snow will keep it going?????
