Eel River - Dos Rios to Alderpoint
I keep hearing tidbits about the wild and scenic section of the Eel River from Dos Rios to Alderpoint (or alternatively Fort Seward). I have been trying to find some information online, but have had limited success. Here are some of my specific questions, but any information would be welcome!
-A good guide book? (preferably with GPS coordinates)
-Flow recommendations for 16' cats and rafts?
-Launch site/take out site issues? I read some older posts regarding access issues at both ends of the trip.
-Take out at Alderpoint or continue to Fort Seward?
-Best time of the year... late March?
-Any specific spots to watch out for or pretty much boat-scout and run?
-Island Mountain Falls?
-Self issue permit at launch?
-Is it worth a long drive?
