Dewey Bridge to Potash? Labor Day

Anyone have any info to share on the Dewey Bridge to Potash stretch on the Colorado? Plan to float over Labor Day. Crowds? Bugs? Campsites? Hikes? Plan to do two nights. Thanks!!

We did it last weekend from Hittle Bottom to Take Out beach. We camped the night before at Hittle. No bugs to speak of and a nice float. We like to do it at least once a year for the beauty of it all. Lots of commercials leaving Hittle around 9-9:30 and they all get out at Take out beach.

Great fun run, You can camp at Dewey bridge put in and I enjoy river right after Onion rapid for the next night, It's going to be a Zoo. Stop at the winery for free wine tasting and their mot expensive bottle is like $14. Oh yea and the Moab film museum is on the same stop with the dock on the last day. Use take out beach unless you have a true love of rowing very flat water.

Not to difficult to get a ride back up as long as you wear your life jacket. Drop your boat off up top and drive down to the bottom, much easier to get a ride in the morning. If you can be at the take-out by 9:15-9:30 many of the commercials will pick you up with a life jacket.
