Desolation thru Labyrinth trip

Considering a continuation of a spring high water trip thru Desolation canyon all the way thru Labyrinth Canyon to Mineral Bottom. Anyone run below the Swaseys take out and thru the Tusher Diversion dam? Wondering if there is a rout for boats through the dam?

There was a thread about this vey subject just last week, complete with a few pictures of the dam. Do a search and you can find that info.

There is a low profile spillway in the mid section of tusher dam. It is runable above 2k. Scope it first for trees caught up. At low water the trip is long. At 10k and above it gos pretty good.

Hey, I have done this run several times on down to Cataract. I usually pull out at Swaseys, and put in below the dam at the geyser (across I-70.)
Not sure if you have FLOATED down to Mineral, but garystrome is correct, the section below is named Stillwater/Labyrinth for a reason.

I've run Cataract many times. I prefer the Green side and I do know that it is STILLWATER. Tie the boats together and party barge for a few days - only two people need to be conscious to keep the barge in the channel. We enjoy the slow float days with beautiful scenery as much as the rowdy rapid days. Even a slow day on the river beats a good day at work! Water will be flowing about as fast as it will for the year the first week of June so it will be moving at around 3 mph. I have a 6 hp outboard to speed things up or fight wind if necessary.

Never connected it from running Deso/Grey. Don't really want to pull boats at Swasey's and put them back in at Green River. Would rather not leave a car at Swasey's if we run the whole way. My only concern is the Tusher low head dam - man made structures in the river can be a real danger. Looking for info from people who have floated through it in late May/early June. Doesn't seem like many have tried it...
