Denver to Piedra Sunday??

So... I've got some time off Sunday, before I move to Idaho to work this summer. Would anyone be interested in running the Piedra River on Sunday? I live in Denver, but I've always wanted to kayak that stretch. Just fishing for interest, but I think I can swing a trip this weekend.

If so, call me 720-300-1396

If the flows get up above 800, I'm sure you'll be able to hook up with a local trip. If you're at the take-out by 8 or 8:30, I doubt you'll have a hard time finding a group to connect with. I'd love to get over there this weekend, but I can't. I'll let you know if I hear of anyone going.

With the expected high in the 70's in Pagosa Springs tomorrow and the lows in the 40's, I think the Piedra is going to start running. I'm headed down tonight from Lakwood. If anyone wants to run it, let me know. The gage says 550, but with the warm weather it should rise today and tomorrow.

Thanks for the advise.
Curtis

I'd like to go, if anyone is going from Boulder. I don't have a car or anything though. Let me know if someone could take me.

I'll be done working at about 8 tonight, so we could leave tonight and camp at the putin. I know it's kind of a tight schedule, but I think it's possible. As far as flows go, all we need is one or two nights in the high country above freezing (it will happen this weekend) to get the rivers going. It's already up to 600 cfs as of 10:45 from 550 earlier in the morning.
