Deckers sometime this week

Just curious if anyone had info as to where a good put-in and take-out are located on the Deckers to Confluence section of the Platte. I haven't gotten my roll down and am hoping that it isn't too advanced of a run for me. I am looking to run it this week . Anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

They've cut flows below Cheeseman to about 150 cfs...too low for Deckers IMHO. Might want to try selected sections of the Foxton run, which has water because the Roberts Tunnel just turned on. For example below boulder garden to foxton road T intersection or below town of Longview to confluence. All is more or less roadside, so you can scout and see what you'll be comfortable with.

AS mentioned flows are way down but if you just want to get wet and run the chutes there is a parking lot just up stream of the chutes that would be good for a short trip. It is the lot located right next to the two large rocks in the river. Take out at the Colorado Trail Bridge. I would say 250-300 cfs is about as low as you really want to go lots of rocks to hit below these levels. Deckers is a great beginner run I have taken people who have never been in a kayak before.
