Deckers and Waterton were a blast this past weekend! Flows were great, and should only get better. Anybody up to hit it this Sunday? So far, there are two of us that will be heading out from Denver. Let me know....
We probably wouldn't hit the river until 11:00 or later. The guy I float with doesn't care for getting up early. If our times change, though, I will make sure to let you know.
I'm interested in the Sunday trip, pending on whether or not I head to the Ark this weekend. I'll get back to you by Friday at the latest if I'm a go. I'd be up for a Denver carpool, if possible. Troy
Ben, I'm up for Sunday morning. What time are you thinking about heading out in order to be back where you need to be by 12:30?
I'm not familiar with the Platte... from reading the New Testament it sounds like you can run Foxton to the confluence? Is it better to lap Foxton than hike out of Waterton?
Floating Foxton into Waterton with enough flow ( at least above 1,000 in Foxton) can be fun with the more the better, but all the water is coming out of the South Fork not the North Fork so Foxton is dry. The Chutes Section above Waterton is running but is mostly class 2 and then the Chutes themselves.

I was not understanding the geography. WWOTSR does not give clear directions to Deckers put-in. I think the authors have assumed too much with this location. I get it now.
I am not very familiar with the Platte either. Neve down waterton, and never done foxton either at this high of a level. I think it would be best to do laps on Foxton, I am pretty sure you can do laps. I was thinking of actually being on the water with the shuttle run and everything at 9:30?
