Deleting old threads

Maybe I'm not thinking of something here, but why aren't the threads that have passed the date requested for trip partners just deleted? Seems like a waste of server space to have 54 pages of threads on partner requests. Plus, some folks are posting to threads from years past... That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Uh, admin... hello?

Any thoughts here? We continue to get folks posting on threads from years ago, and frankly that's just kind of... dumb. What's the point of keeping all these old posts? I'm asking, really. Not trying to be an ass with rhetorical questions.

Andy R was working on getting a prompt to pop up whenever someone was about to post on a thread older than X months. I'll check in with the status of that.

i think you should make a trip report section like the boaters forum and move all TRs to that section. That way you can use it for reference and know what certain stretches are like at different levels
