I just reread my posts and realized they sounded kinda dickish, and I apologize. It was early morning and my personality routines were not running at full speed yet. I was just trying to convey how serious the road is. Its common occurrence for MapQuest and googlemaps to route people over that because the computer just reads it as the shortest distance, but the computer doesn't show what a road it is, so the common occurrence is to see people on it who have no business being there. it might be possible that you could make it to Lizard Lake and walk from there, it would only be two miles or so one way. Or you may be able to hitch a ride randomly but that's not something to absolutely rely on. Likewise, its possible to drive to the top of the Devils Punchbowl (which is technically the name of the whole gorge, not just the waterfalls) and park within a mile of the big double falls, because the road from CB to that point is easy. But it is maybe three or four miles from the falls down to Crystal City, where the mill falls are.
Logan is dead on though, get on the narrows if you can, you will enjoy it!
