Can even hike up to the rim and car camp if you don't want to schlep your stuff down the river.
I have an outdated guide book that says there is a 30' slide somewhere below the UTB take out trail and the LTB put it bridge, have you run it to know, or are you speaking of big arsenic rapid?. I plan to find out this season anyway but am curious since i've read about it.
the 3 best I could think of would be
ark from numbers to stonebridge (high water)
clear creek, can be done in a day, but dumont through lower is fun!
and the poudre from stevens down or upper rustic through bridges w a portage at narrows.
the narrows potrage is fast. 2 quick portages at upper, paddle all of middle class 4 maybe 2 4+ at 3' and higher, then a quick portage of lower, will have you at day 1 camp somewhere in lower mish followed by 9 miles in the am of fun 3-4.
