Lower was pretty tame except for one rapid that was a moderate III (probably the usual big one). Other than that everything seemed class II to me. There were a couple of good squirt lines and at least one good play spot that we stopped at. Quite a few strainers in the slower portions due to the higher water but easily avoided. One swimmer in the bigger rapid (went into a hole) and both dams come very quickly after this rapid, particuarly the first, which was a little sticky but right down the center was fine. I had almost no momentum going into it as I was chasing gear and didn't see it and so it almost got me but no problems. Try not to have a swimmer in the second as it is much more rocky and has a higher risk of foot entrapment (or broken tailbone if in proper position). Also I know this run is usually colder than cold but it's releasing from the top and if you work at all in the play wave you may get hot. I was comfortable in a splash jacket and fleece which I know is unusual for this run.
It's looking more like I won't be able to make it, mom's having a barbecue and I haven't seen her in a while. I'll call if I can make it. If not, have fun.
