christopher Creek/HellsGate 4/2 thru 4/4

Our group has widdled down to 2. If anyone sees themselves doing Christopher on Friday and Hellsgate Sat/Sun give me a call. We have a shuttle set, just looking for a 3rd or 4th. We are leaving tonight.

Hellsgate has enough water to run it right now? I continue to be confused by the Arizona flows.

I wouldn't run it with less than 800 on that gauge, if christopher is running then the first day would be good but that lower stuff would suck at 500. Save you boat and drive 3 hours farther to cali.

Natalie and I are highly interested in Christopher creek. Do you have any reason to believe that it's actually running? Awful long drive from fort collins (although I suppose there's always fossil creek as a backup)

I ran Christopher a couple of weeks ago with a couple of guys from the Salt. The Tonto gauge was at ~600 at Gun Creek. Our original plan was to hit Hellsgate, but when we got wind of the lower than wanted water, we decided to spend the night at Bear Flat (put-in for Hells Gate) to check it out and then go from there the next day. It looked like there was about 200 cfs at Bear Flat...maybe a little more, but not by a whole lot.
The next day at the confluence of Christopher and Tonto, there was definitely a lot more water coming out of 2/3 vs 1/3 from Tonto, maybe even less. I'd definitely recommend Christopher at that water level, but get an early start.
