It would be fun to meet up with people who have done it before and/or could give us other Class II/ III- suggestions in the area for Saturday. Can anybody help with directions to the take out and put in? Or any river features to be aware of?
Thanks so much!

check allaboutrivers.com, might have some beta there...
Otherwise, if you're looking at spending much time coming to CO to boat, you might want to pick up Colorado Rivers and Creeks (CRC). Beyond that, you'll head out on Hwy 14, west, toward Cameron Pass. Take out for filter plant is Picnic Rock...it is marked by a sign. Put in isn't really marked, but it's below the filter plant (hence the name), and there is parking on the opposite side of the road, and a wooden staircase that drops into the water. It's all pretty straight forward, mostly II type stuff. One drop, mad dog, is considered III, I guess, but it's quite short. At higher water, you can stay river right and avoid the two larger rocks, or you can just split them.
