I may be a straggler on a September trip. The TL got a quote of about $70 per person for the jetboat from Moab to Spanish Bottom from Tag-a-Long.

I forget which company (Tag? Tex?), but one of those companies quoted me less than $70 for a ride to the confluence with kayak and gear. They are especially happy to coordinate it if they are already running a jet boat down to pick up a bunch of canoe folk.

kennyv, what are your thoughts on that? I'm sure he will have better info than myself on that.

Lathrop Canton takes as long to drive to as it does to float there. Same for the Dollhouse (maze) and Needles hike/approach.

There is access from Lockhart Basin Road, it's about a 2 hour drive from the Indian Creek road (SH 211?) and 191 intersection. You drive on lockhart basin road, take a right into the park (it's signed). The road goes with in 200 yards of the river, BUT in those 200 yds is a jungle of tammies. You can get a person and a dry bag to the river bank, but I'd think dragging a cooler or anything bigger would suck. You can not get a raft to the water there w/out a chainsaw. The drive though is pretty mellow, you may want 4*4 for the sand/creek crossing of Indian Creek, but it is a quick option. Last time I was there (4 years ago) we made it in a subaru. Lockhart Canyon is about 1/2 between Potash ramp and the confluence....
