Castle Creek & Saughter House

A group from Grand Junction is going to Aspen Thursday 7/21 to get on some water before it is gone. Has anyone been down Castle Creek this year? We are looking for any beta on any need to know wood issues. Please fire back on the post or email me at We would enjoy having more boaters is anyone is interested.

See ya on the Water!

Hey Bill,
We ran Castle and Slaughter on Saturday 7/16/2011 there was some wood but you could get around it all. All the wood that I remember you can get around on the left. There is a river wide set of 2-3 logs past the 82 bridge they were hard to see until you are right up on them so be careful. Personally I felt like it was a bit on the low side and laps on Slaughter would be more fun.
