Come on Zach, that is embarassing. Holy FUCK. I'm going to punch someone in the face. It is going to be your fault. I swear to god I'm going to walk down the hall right now and punch the first person I see right in the face.

Put that boat on your shoulder and walk to the park. It is directly across highway 58 from you. 15 or 20 minute walk... max.

You're kidding, right? It's less than a mile to the top and 1/2 mile walk home from the bottom. Get your lazy ass up and walk over there!

If you did have a car, it would take longer to put the boat on a rack, drive over and unload it! Not to mention you'd have to walk back to the parking lot when you're done!

Yeah, I would walk and carry for that short a distance.

If you don't want to do that, there's still one more car-free option: get a kayak portage cart and pull your gear to the water on that. Lock the cart up with a long bike cable lock (twist it many times around the cart and a tree or post).

I did that for a 57-pound 17-footer over a 3-month period. Works great, and "Look, Ma, NO DRIVING!"
