Gunny Gorge

Gunny Gorge will be pretty tame by then actually is now unless the resevoirs fill and they increase releases. With a week I'd focus on the Ark at that time.
You could run the #'s from 2 on down thru the fractions, then Browns, then Parkdale and hit the Royal Gorge. if you post on the Boaters forum you could prob get a guide for Gore Canyon every thing in there is an easy carry if you're not up for it but often the flat water is the challenge. There's a great hotsprings on Cottonwood Pass. If the Roaring Fork is running you could head over Independence Pass to Aspen for a Slaughterhouse run (where the beer flows like wine). I suspect the upper Animas down by Silverton will be crankin. You shuttle back by steam locomotive and prob one of the quintessential CO places. Get a copy of the bible.

We are running Gore Canyon (the upper class III-V sections) on June 11-12th in our creature craft. At 800 cfs, its current level which it will be near, is a fun no-penalties event for raft or kayakers, but is still very technical but the water won't be overhelming. Would be happy to show you through there if you're at the pumphouse putin/campground, or let you run one of ours through there.

For your time here, may I suggest a Westwater trip on the Colorado, Gates of Lodore on the Green, both great and beautiful float/rapid rides. For-huge action go on the colorado through Cataract canyon, which takes you out to Lake Powell (kinda far, but hey, burly water that is running scary huge this year).
