boating sat and / or sun this weekend?

hi

i'm looking to boat sat and /or sun on some nice g5 that can be done as a day trip from denver.

as i'm new to the area i'm not sure what to do (i have looked at the guide book and flows but i bit of local knowledge goes a long way)

i've heard the big thompson and boulder creek might be worth a look.
is anyone interested in these or any other suggestion they have?

thanks for any help you can give.

rich

Re:Boating this weekend

Rich,
I am new to kayaking, so I really don't know what a g5 means, but I do know that boulder creek is ok, but I would suggest the play park in Golden. It is awesome and it is right in downtown Golden. You can also put in above the play park as far as you want to go (all the way to Idaho Springs). I don't do much playboating but I would suggest this for a day trip. Also, In Lyons, about 45 minutes northeast of Denver they are having a whitewater festival on Sunday, with a rodeo, race, beer, music etc. I am going to be in the race just to do a short 3 mile run or so, that ends in their playpark. Also, if you post a message on the main forum you will definitely get more responses from people that will surely know more than I. Hope this helps!
Adam
