Bluegrass Creek Sunday, 8/26

Bluegrass Creek is flowing back up around 350ish, if it holds and it all works out I'm going to try to get a few people together and get on it Sunday morning. Anyone interested give Austin a call at 307-690-0480.

I was planning on doing it if I can find anyone to paddle with. If you're going, I'll meet you (don't know yet whether I'll have anyone with me).

Bluegrass Creek Lines

Yea just wondering how everyones lines were on bluegrass this past weekend. I ran it saturday think it was around 320 mayby and dropped throughout the day. I took the far right line on the top waterfall and got kicked hella sideways flipped on landind rolled up easy enough in the small eddy on the far right at the base of the falls, peeled out went around the corner and tried the right to left move on the man eating deer rapid i think its called. I went down the far left slide with a bad left angle and hit the knob on the right side of the end of the slide got kicked back upside down in the mess tried to roll once then went down the boogie upside down hit my head hard then rolled up. It was a pretty good beat down without a swim. The rest of the run went smooth and I made all my lines but that second distinct drop beat me down pretty good without a swim so I can imagine a swim there would really suck. Just curious how everyone went on running those upper 2 drops and what lines were good, and if there were any other lines that went better. the upper falls looked do-able in the middle and left too but I havent heard if anyones tried them, thanks

bluegrass sun.

everybody on sunday had sweet lines except my line at the main event! no speed, and scrapped down the left side of the big boy ended up over vertical under water and was pinned chest down on a rock at the bottom for 2 seconds. not to bad of a day in all! and it sure beat being a couch potato!

for the first section first drop everybody styled pretty clean! and at the second drop of stampede austin smoked the meat, sweet.

Yeah, things went pretty well on Sunday. Only issue I had on was on the top drop: I landed with about a 45 degree angle, plugged and squirted out over vertical (in a playboat) and rolled up. No problems with the hole at the base though. Right to left move on the flake was sweet. I then proceeded to throw the biggest switch boof in the history of kayaking off of Bucking Bronco.
