Found out that Logging Creek bridge put-in is not that bad. The shuttle is a little more of a pain though, compared to the Monarch shuttle route. If short on time for float, Logging Crk is only 3 hr (880cfs Smith Eagle Crk). (I don't know how much Monarch to Logging Crk adds to float time, yet. May have another 2 weeks to figure that out.) But, shuttle is not as easy as Monarch, pavement vs. FS road.
As for bridge put-in, we chose to slide it down over rocks just on other end of bridge. According to American WW site there should be a grass walk down a little ways up river, but we heard rumors of property owners pushing trespassing charges on boaters. So, we stayed as close to bridge as we could w/o crossing private property. With the stream access laws going back and forth, thought it better to stay as close to bridge and roadway as possible.
All in all, great float. Be mindful of old rail bridge hardware in water. Multiple old rail crossings throughout canyon. Technical, narrow and bends everywhere.
