Bellingham Intermediate?

I'm relatively new to paddling, and very new to paddling in Bellingham, where I now live. Most of what I've done consists of river running in oregon (i.e. Rogue, Owyhee, etc.). From what I understand, Bellingham has some awesome whitewater but it seems to be mostly class V creeking, and I'm not there yet. Any Bellingham paddlers out there in the same boat? Excuse the pun. Or just interested in paddling the class III section of the NF Nooksack? I've connected with a few kayakers up here but they are all quite literally professional paddlers, for what thats worth, and I don't want to waste their time by asking them to paddle with someone that is still getting eddy turns and boofing dialed. Any sort of beta or advice is also welcome and appreciated. thanks

I am mostly a class III/IV kayaker and canoer. I do a lot of runs on the N Fk Nooksack Canyon, the Chilliwack, the Capilano, the Chehalis, and the Sauk.

There are a lot of runs in the area. If you are willing to go south a little bit there are quite a few more.

I am doing mostly weekday runs now. If you have time then shoot me a pm.

Sweet. Definitely willing to check those out and travel south for some new runs. If only my '92 landcruiser ran off of my desire to paddle, i'd be set. I need to pick up a few things in the next couple days before getting out on the river again but I have tuesdays and thursdays off so i'll pm you with some contact info and whatnot
