I may not make it Ian,
Both of my contacts for carpooling from BV fell through. Its already a long drive from Great Sand Dunes NP to BV, let alone driving alone to Bailey. Unless I find someone else, its not going to happen this time. I wont say no, but chances are slim. I'll let you know tomorrow night either way.

I think they just turned the water off. We need to revive that comunication between one of us and the water gods for our weekly outlook.

Sounds like 155 coming out of Roberts and another 100 feeding into the Bailey by the time of take out. Is that right?

probably not. there is a big immediate drop today. dont think that is just from run off. hasnt been that cold. we ran it on sunday and i felt like middle 2's at the put in. not much coming in from the side creek on river right 1/2 mile above first falls and not a considerable amount coming in at deer creek. bummed we were hoping for a few funs on tuesday.

but also if you read the south platte river post from this morning, it sounds as though the levels with be between 300 and 500 for june and july.

I think you're seeing the delay. Expect 100 cfs drop from what it was. Probably 150 on the Bailey gauge (above the run) and 225 at the Pine/Foxton gauge (below the run). Pretty low. I wouldn't run it.

Damn water masters. Why did they have to go F up my personal boating plans to serve the water needs of millions of people in the metro area?

Vince / Force, you guys out with the low flows?

I still want to get out as its my only day to boat this weekend, but the day trip options look less than stellar. Bailey = min / rock abuse. Big T = min / rock abuse. Gore = maybe a bit high for comfort? Maybe I'll just take a tube out to golden.

Any day trip ideas? I guess I'll watch the gauges and see what the rain / hail falling right now does to the levels.

If any water masters are listening, please crank up roberts tunnel to 600 cfs, or release about 500 into the Big T. Thanks!
