If you drew a permit in mid/late August, and have any concerns you cannot make the trip due to low water, you should cancel before Mar 15 to give a boater like cataraftgirl the chance to pick it up. they will not re-release your date if you cancel past the 15th

Confirmation Required: Successful lottery applicants must sign into their account and confirm their reservation by March 15th. Unconfirmed launches will be released at an undisclosed time on March 16th. If you have any problems confirming or declining your reservation, contact Customer Service at 1-888-448-1474.
Cancellations: Please continue to check this site for cancelled reservations. Cancelled launch dates are released at a random time within 24 hours of submission. Boaters should try to anticipate high and low water levels before reserving a launch date.
After March 15th, the Middle Fork will not re-issue cancellations for launch dates of Aug. 15 through Sept. 15. Groups will also be limited to 12 craft per permit for these launch dates.
River Information & Lottery Statistics: At the 4 Rivers website, you can find lottery statistics and a link to each river’s web site. These sites will soon be updated with 2013 information.
