With this very warm weather this week, Oak Creek is cycling into a nice level later in the afternoon. There is still a lot of now in the shade of upper OC canyon and plenty in the watershed on the rim, but we could really use another round of precip. Another week of hot sun could definitely send us toward the dreaded trickle off. Really hoping for an epically wet late Feb and March. Common El Niņo!

Oak Creek run

Hi Bob, Peter and all,
I am a recent CO transplant to Sedona and would love to meet everyone and boat with ya.
Very good chance I will be around [exception 2/27-3/3 or so].
So just let me know your plans.

Hey Arizona people, is the little Colorado fed by snowmelt or is it just rain runoff?

The season in AZ is definitely on. Oak is at a great level, the Verde and Salt are flowing nicely. If you planned to head this way, the sooner the better. Its been straight up hot here this week with more high pressure to come. Unless we get more wetness soon, the peak flow is almost upon us.
