We are putting on tomorrow around 1120ish. We will do 2 laps if we feel up to it. Goar is not a word; Gore turns gory when you swim out of your boat with any flow. I think gore rapid becomes extra gory when it is above 1500. Walking around the rapids is the easy option, portaging can be gory as well...

Brian is right there is no goar only GOAR!!!!, it turns into that level when you have only one option in GOAR rapid, but of course will power is the true judge of when it turns into GOAR another measure of level is if high water nick is there then it is probably GOAR levels.
Wish I could be up there with you boys, gets some cushioned gore action.

Agree with janney on this one. When there is only one line in Gore (besides the high river right line), then it's GOAR. Over 1500 its just better because the entry boof in Gore is taller and faster when you land. The Gore is on, the Goar is going to be hudge this year.

I am planning a trip on Sunday with some boys from Laramie, we have run Gore a lot and can show the lines. This will be the first run of the year for a couple so we will be scouting the big guys.

PM me if you are interested.
