On most years July and August have a daily fluctuation for 12k to 20k. So at a constant 20k it is ideal. All the camps are available and you don't have to worry about the fluctuation. You can put your kitchen close enough to your boat that you don't have to haul gear up the hill. Plus with the constant 25k that they had going earlier this year there are additional camps created. (They won't last forever, but they are there now) and a lot of the existing camps were built up. We launched this year on Aug. 25th and so the first half of our trip was at 25k and the second half was at aroung 15k I think. At 25k there were a few camps that were a little smaller, but they were all still there. At 15k there were more camps from the new beaches created by the constant 25k. Mostly we used these for lunch spots.
So at 20k, don't worry, they will all be there. Have a great trip.
