thanks for enlightening me and being nice about it. I also want to thank you for the pic that shows up under your name in the Forum, althogh it was kinda distracting and I had to come back to your post a couple times to be able to read it comprehensively.
You are correct, I didn't understand the logistics, but I have a better understanding now. Truth be told, we've only done two guided raft trips on the Youghegeny River from Ohiopyle state park in PA and loved it. And we've never been to the Grand Canyon so we thought itd be great to combine the two. But I've learned now that to raft in the Grand Canyon you need to plan on it being a multi-day trip.
I wish I had more time and money to spend on this cross country trip, but I can't afford anymore than a one day rafting trip.
I am interested in what you mentioned might be what I'm looking for, please tell me more, what would be some good day trips for our family, we have two sons, who will be 11 and 13 during the trip. We've done class III and IV's on our guided trips. Thank you.
