The folks at Adventurac are top notch! This is by far the best hostile/outfitter in the area. They pioneered the region is my understanding.
Vincinte is the one who hooked us up with local beta and helped with shuttle. He's cool as shit and will show you whatever you need. The food is worth it in my opinion and the lodging was extremely cheap. All this information can be found on they're web page.
A group of us drove from Texas down and a week and half stay/food/booze/gas ran right at 350.00 a person.
I would highly recommend flying into Mexico and taking a bus instead of driving 11 hours through the interior. If you drive, expect to get fu*ked with and extorted. I personally will not drive again. If you do drive do so during the day only... Real talk!
The alseseca is high quality white water with water quality issues. Lots of sections and great creeking in the region. My next trip I want to catch the rio de oro. If you only speak broken Spanish you'll get along great, no Spanish... Sucks to be you, but the bilingual individuals are extremely helpful! Good luck and bring your big boy shorts...
